Acknowledgement of 2023 Knox Toy Library Grants
The Knox Toy Library would like to acknowledge the generous support of the following community partners and funders.
Thank you to Knox City Council for their support in awarding a Community Partnership Grant (2022-2026) which provides significant assistance towards the operational costs of Knox Toy Library.
Current Grant Projects
- Community Development Grant (2023-2024) from Knox City Council, to purchase new shelving and furnishings to extend the toy collection into the new space at Rosa Benedict Centre.
- Community Bank Knox Group (Bendigo Bank- 2023) to purchase new party hire items which were needing to be replaced, such as a new coupe car and ball pit.
- Forest Hill Grant (2023) from the Foundation of Graduates in Early Childhood Studies to purchase new toys requested by members and increase the collection of imaginative play toys.
- Inclusion & Diversity Grant (2023) from Toy Libraries Australia to purchase First Nations Toys & Resources.
- Volunteer Grant (2022) Funded by the Department of Social Services for the purchase of equipment for volunteers.
- Forest Hill Grant (2021) from the Foundation of Graduates in Early Childhood Studies to purchase new shelving and storage for outdoor toys and party packs in the outdoor sheds.
Past Grants
- Community Bank Knox Group (Bendigo Bank- 2023) who provided funding for rejuvenation of party pack and hire items, including children’s chairs and tables.
- Forest Hill Grant (2022) from the Foundation of Graduates in Early Childhood Studies to be able to purchase culturally inclusive toys and resources.
- Bendigo Bank (2022) to purchase new board games and Lawn Games Party Pack.
- Volunteer Grant (2021) Funded by the Department of Social Services for the purchase of equipment for volunteers.
- Community Development Grant (2021-2022) from Knox City Council, to purchase inclusive toys and resources to support the learning and development of all children, particularly children with a disability.
- Forest Hill Grant (2020) from the Foundation of Graduates in Early Childhood Studies for free toy library memberships for families in need.
