Dear members,
A reminder that we will be reopening this Saturday 9th January, and will be open each Friday and Saturday for the rest of the month. In February, we will commence Monday and Thursday sessions.
With the increase in local COVID cases, it’s timely to remind everyone to continue to wear a mask when indoors at the toy library (except for under-12s or those with a medical exemption).
Prior to visiting the toy library, please check you haven’t visited any of the public exposure sites listed on the DHHS website during the dates and times indicated. People who have visited these locations must get tested immediately and quarantine for 14 days from the exposure.
Below is a reminder of the process for borrowing.

Before visiting the toy library:
Count & clean toys
Count all the pieces and clean the toys and bags/tubs following these guidelines.
At the toy library:
Entry to the toy library
Please enter via the front door. Use hand sanitiser and maintain social distancing of 1.5m. Don't forget your mask.
If there are already 10 members in the toy library we will ask you to wait in the foyer or outside, please be patient. If possible just send one adult into the library to return items.
Please do not bring children to the toy library as they are not allowed to play with the toys and they count towards our maximum of 10 people. If you are not able to visit without bringing your child you may bring them inside provided you can supervise them at all times and ensure they do not touch the toys. Please don't leave them in your car.
We hope we can welcome children back into the toy library soon, it certainly seems odd not having children visit us.
Please aim to make your visits no more than 15mins.
Return toys - please return your toys on either the racks or tubs available in the returns area. Any found missing pieces should be placed in the box provided. If you haven’t been able to clean your toys at home, we have a cleaning station you can use.
Check-in - sign the attendance register and the declaration form to acknowledge that your toys are counted and cleaned.
Browse and choose your toys - select toys. Please try to avoid touching surfaces/toys that are not needed.
Borrowing toys - take your toys up to the borrowing desk. Toys will be extended for 1-month of borrowing.
Exit - exit the toy library via the back door / side gate.
At home:
Check toys
On arrival home, please check your toys and if any missing pieces are identified, please e-mail Helen at toylibrarymanager@knoxtoylibrary.org.au
Please contact us if there is any illness in your house. We will renew your toys for 14 days after your final day of sickness.
